SECOND GRADE NEWSLETTER
December 19, 2008

Dear Parents,
       Thank you so much for the wonderful Christmas Around the World feast!  Everything was so special.  The foods were awesome!  We appreciate everything that you do.  We want to wish you and your families a safe and happy holiday!  We will see you “bright eyed and bushy tailed” on Monday, January 5, 2009!

In our next unit of study we will be learning all about Earth’s Weather.  We will focus on the water cycle and learn different ways to measure weather.  In spelling we will learn the vc/cvc/cv .  We will also learn some new final stable syllables and diphthongs oi and oy.  We will read the story, Cool Ali and discuss reality and fantasy.  In math we will continue adding 2 and 3-digit numbers. 

UPCOMING: 

      The beginning of another New Year!   We hope you cherish each and every day with your special children.   They are special to us too!
