This is my 21st years working as a Speech Pathologist in the public school system.

Family

I have been married for 25 years to my best friend, Ricky. We have 2 wonderful kids. Jaime, my daughter, is 23 years old and will graduated in December with her Masters Degree from SMU. Caleb, my son, is 20 and works for AT&T in Frisco/McKinney.

Interest/Hobbies

I love to read, listen to music and watch movies. I just got my motorcycle license this summer and I have a Honda Rebel 450 and a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. (vroom, vroom)

I have lived in Paris, France and the Philippine Islands.

Collections:

I own all of Stephenie Meyer's books in hard cover. Two of them are actually signed by the author.

Education

I received my high school certificate from Denison High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I am certified in Oklahoma and Texas in Elementary education from 1-8, in Early Childhood Education PK-KG and in English as a Second Language.

I have taken courses for Dyslexia in the Herman Method, the Davis Method, MTA and the LindaMood Bell Learning Process. I am also trained for Reading Recovery through Texas Woman's University.

This is my tenth year of teaching. I have taught in Denison, McKinney and Bells

Family

I have a family of two brothers and two sisters, three nieces, four nephews and soon to have two new additions. I have two dogs and a parrot. My mother, father, aunts and uncles live in Denison, Indiana, Washington and California.

Interest/Hobbies

I like to knit, go to the movies, tour homes, watch HGTV and work on scrapbooks.

Interesting facts about me

My father was in the Air Force, therefore, I have traveled all over the United States. I have lived in Maine, California, West Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. I have visited nearly every state in the continental U.S., as well as Canada and Mexico.

I collect small angels and Fenton glassware.
