Pre-Algebra:

The Pre-Algebra classes have been busy adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers.  We will also be using the order of operations with integers.  A test is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 27th.   A review will be given out on Tuesday, September 25th for students to work on in their spare time.

Algebra:

The Algebra class has been investigating lines and their slopes.  We are learning how to graph lines several different ways and looking at linear equations both algebraically and graphically.  A test is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 27th.   A review will be given out on Tuesday, September 25th for students to work on in their spare time.

Class Procedures:

1)         Be prompt.  Pencils are to be sharpened before the tardy bell rings.  When the tardy bell rings, students are to be in their seats.

2)        Be prepared.  More specifically, bring homework, supplies, and a good attitude. 

3)        Be polite.  Show respect to teachers and other students.

4)        Students will be recognized before speaking.

5)       Students are to remain seated during instruction unless permission is given to do so.

6)      Turn in work on time.

7)       All work will be done in pen or pencil and all corrections will be made in red ink. 

8)        The heading is to be placed in the upper right corner of the paper.

9)     The student handbook and the code of conduct, along with the things listed in this syllabus, will be in effect in this classroom at all times.
